Their job is to jump out in front of our efforts, spread certain narratives and march us back into the system. That’s the battle within… People like me have been talking about this since witnessing shit go down in Ferguson. Nobody wanted to hear it. Same people swearing to be unapologetic-ally black, fighting oppression and against the erasure of black people from certain narratives were the same folks oppressing black dissent and erasing poor black people from their movements… same black folks lashed out, joined social media mobs or turned a blind eye when black people in these communities spoke out. Mofos drank the koolaid by the gallon All it took was establishment and media validation. The very establishment we were fighting and the media that spread false narratives about Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Sandra Bland, Tamir Rice and others saying ‘trust them’ and the majority of folks did.
