Black Lives Matter does NOT have trademark protection!

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Protection Office (USPTO), Black Lives Matter does NOT have trademark protection.

Nevertheless, people continue to apply for trademark protection in order capitalize on the popularity of the slogan. Unfortunately, people use this slogan so broadly, the USPTO will never approve trademark protection.

This video defines trademark protection, shows the number of pending trademark applications at the USPTO, and explains why Black Lives Matter will never have trademark protection.

The terrible video of George Floyd losing his life had a tremendous impact on my life. I felt compelled to invest in “Black Lives Matter” until I learned about the lack of structure and leadership.
